Viking Tent Trailers
Viking tent trailers can be pulled by any major SUV or truck (generally a half ton will do the trick). Viking is well known for providing durable tent trailers, such as the V-Trec series, which provide spacious kitchens, and plenty of room for motorcycles, kayaks, rafts and other outdoor supplies.
The 2008 Viking Epic 1906 series provide all of the above, with the addition of a toiled. My friend just purchased this tent trailer, and swears by the room and ease of use. There’s nothing worse than bad feng shui in a tent trailer…
The Cadillac of tent trailers has got to be the 2008 Viking Model 2465 Slide-out. At just over eighteen feet wide, this is the perfect way for a family with children to the travel. There is a king sized bunk on either side of the trailer, which gives the parents a lot more privacy (which is invaluable if you’re traveling across the country with kids!). Optional items include a furnace, refrigerator, and cassette toilet. The kitchen is the highlight of this Viking tent trailer, with a stove that can help you prepare a feast for eight and still have room for dessert!
If the Caddy of tent trailers seems a bit much, you should consider the 2008 Viking 1706. This model is about two thirds the length (twelve vs. eighteen feet) of the Viking 2465, and still offers rooms opposite each other (though they are doubles instead of kings). You still have the option of adding a furnace or fridge, though a toilet is not offered.
These three Viking tent trailers will meet any campers needs, from a couple looking for long term road tripping, to families interested in a long weekend in a National Park.
