India Must See Travel
Anyone heading to India has a list of must see travel itineraries. In this article we will highlight the true must see experiences from the over hyped tourist traps. Whether you are interested in sunbathing on the beaches of Goa, haggling the bazaars of Delhi, or autograph hunting in Bollywood, we’ve got you covered.
India Must See Travel: The Best of the Best
Delhi: a fascinating city that incorporates modern architectural design with old world bazaars, markets and alleyways. Delhi’s also the home to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India.
Taj Mahal: The largest testament to love in the world (located in the town of Agra); a true must see in India.
River Ganges. India’s sacred river runs along the city of Varanasi, and has is most well known for its ghats (where you can enter the river to cleanse your sins).
Udaipur (the “Venice of the East”): if the Taj Mahal didn’t set the standard high enough, check out this beautiful city, which surrounds Lake Pichola.
Bombay: The most modern city in India, and definitely a must see. After spending time in smaller towns and villages, be prepared to be amazed by skyscrapers, big city thinking and Bollywood.
Goa: The most well known beaches in all of India; Goa has been a beachfront paradise for decades, though it may have begun to lose some of its past charms. Kolkata: Also known as Calcutta, this charming colonial town is a great place to explore. Make sure to check out the Maiden, the central parkland. Trivia note: Calcutta is home to all the Nobel Prize winners in India (four last time I checked).
There are many locations touted in India; must see travel is a class far above the majority of them. India itself is a must see attraction, and should be explored with a sense of adventure. |
