Student Rates for Airfares
How to get great student rates for airfares…
Students suffer enough with the endless stress that comes with studying, teachers, papers, and let’s not forget final exams. And what better way to get something in return than discount student rates for airfare?
There are a few of ways that you can take advantage of student discount airfare.
First, you can get an International Student Identity Card (ISIC) as proof of your student status. With this card, many major airlines offer discount rates off their normal ticket fare. You can get your ISIC card at the following website: https://www.myisic.com/MyISIC/WhatIsIt.aspx. Here are a few websites where we found exceptionally low student rates for airfare:

Second, keep in mind that most students travel when they aren’t in school, such as summer break, winter break, and holiday seasons. Traveling during those times might increase the price of airfare because of the high demand. If at all possible, try to travel during the off season or perhaps try taking a semester overseas.
If you’re unable travel during the off season, try getting airfares to less known student locations. For example, the chances of you paying top dollar for airfare to Cancun during spring break are much higher than you going to Canada. Explore your options and be flexible. Remember, your friends and other students are looking for discount travel too, convince them to go with you to Canada instead of Cancun.
Thirdly, do an internship with a travel company. Ask the company if they offer discount or free travel airfare as compensation for your work. Why work all summer as an intern with a semiconductor making next to nothing, when you can work for a hip travel company and take a nice vacation for practically free.
Now that you’re an expert on student rates for airfares, take a break from school and take a vacation. Remember, use your ISIC card, book during the off season, and/or intern with a travel company. You’ll save hundreds of dollars with your new student discount airfare! |
